Chapter Five -- Bomba Chorreh
Lilytha was awoken from her sleep by the sounds of banging upon her door. She sat up grogilly, the reminents of a shatering dream still clear before her eyes. She closed them once more, the light through her window blinding, her sleeping mind still trying to take hold. She saw a fallen maiden, their horse cantering off into the distance as a battle broke out around them... the woman that had fallen looked strangely like Lilytha, and she was dreaming, just dreaming... not dead, merely asleep... how nice it would be to sleep...
Lilytha gasped as Kirri's voice was heard from outside.
Lilytha! Wake up right now, there's something important you have to know!
She sighed and crawled out of bed. It was probably her only weakness, her sleepings, for once she had started she prefered to snooze on until she felt like she had to get up. And anyway, something Kirri found important could just be that he had found what looked like his own face in a squished apple or something of the sort... yes, that would be what he wanted to show her, just another stupid Kirri-thing.
Lilytha! Come here now!
Lilytha heard him as he banged on the door again. She sighed, then yawned, then accidentally did both at the same time, choked, had a coughing fit, ambled to the water but, chucked water into her face, gasped because it was so cold, dried her face, forgot momentarilly what she was doing, then was suddenly reminded by Kirri sounding like he was in labour shouting her name outside. Life is cruel.
At last she opened the door, slightly annoyed at Kirri causing her all this trouble, but not minding that much because she was still half-asleep. Kirri was still banging on the door when she opened it, so he almost fell over, to a cheer of a few village boys who were sitting outside, obviously watching to see what Kirri had wanted. Lilytha glared at them the made a rude hand gesture and they fled. Her own presence was slightly more threatening than Kirri.
Kirri slumped againt the wall like he had just run a mile and gasped out -
They've taken... Taslo... to Prince Asbidant... my father... found him... Amber and Errie know...
Lilytha gasped as she heard this, jumping into action.
Well why didn't you say so?!

A few minutes later, Kirri and Lilytha had joined a crouching Amber, who hurrely explained that Errie had dashed away to find breakfast for Mush, who Amber had forced Errie to take with her because she couldn't stand the donkey.
So what exactly happened then?
Lilytha asked in a hushed voice, as the three of them leant against the wall that they were crouched under, trying to look natrual because of the passing guards going past. They were, of course, outside the palace of Asbidan, so it was only natural that all these clad guards were wandering about, apparently doing their 'duties'.
Well, it started off okay, me and Taslo woke up early so as to hide, then, uh...
Kirri's voice trailed off and Lilytha looked at him pointedly.
And?
She asked, although years of time with Kirri had taught her that this meant he had done something embaressing or been embaressed in some way. Which was why she was so eager to hear him say it out loud. Kirri looked for Amber for help, but she just raised her eyebrow at him as if to say 'Go on!'.
Well, we walked outside, but I'd, um, forgotten that there's a perminent guard outside my house...
What?
Lilytha and Amber said simultainiously. A guard? Neither of them had ever seen anything of the sort when they had been to his house, which was regularly since it was the safest and most grant of the whole lot, Kirri's father being the Chief Advisor to the Crown and all that.
Well, that's just it, they stay hidden, round the bushes to either side, and there's even one in that big oak tree on the other side of the road. A lot of people want to kill my dad,
Kirri said, as if it was the most normal thing in the world to proclaim.
With him being so close to Asbidan and all that, and alot of people don't like the way that they, um, do things. So it would be stupid not to have a guard outside otherwise anyone could just stroll in and kill Ghadi.
And why didn't you remember this little bit of information?
Amber asked with a grin.
And how did you get in last night?
Lilytha questioned him too.
Kirri looked helplessly between the two girls, then sighed and said in shame.
I was thinking last night, we went in the back way, you know, up the tree and in my window? T'was easy, but I kinda, sorta, forgot this morning because... um.
'Cus you're Kirri.
Amber finished for him with a smile, and Kirri looked up sheepishly and nodded.
So,
Came a voice from behind them.
I take it you're planning some kind of rescue mission?
It said, and all three of them jumped, then stood up as fast as they could and turned, drawing their swords. Lilytha had a strange feeling she had heard that voice before, though she couldn't remember where.
Errie!
Kirri groaned and sat back down.
You scared us you idiot! What's with the posh voice anyway?
He said, leaning back against the low wall.
It had only been Errie, atop Mush who had spoken, in the same proud voice that she had first greeted Lilytha when she had first come to Jirapa. Errie was now cracking up laughing, laying back in the saddle with a chuckle.
Your faces, you fools! Hehe, didn't you recognise me?
Errie said with a last snort then dismounted elligantly, shaking her hair and dislodging a white lilly that had been perched there. She picked it up then twisted it back into place, then leaned back against Mush, becoming serious again.
So, seriously, are we actually gonna think of a plan?
Her eyes flicked betwen Kirri and Lilytha, the obvious plan makers of them all. Kirri thought for a second, then shrugged. He could have good plans sometimes, but they were rare and he usually just prefered to leave it down to Lilytha, who usually had a practical sollution.
Well, obviously.
She said simply, then a wicked grin spread across her face and her eyes glittered.
Bomba chorreh?
Kirri smiled also, but Amber and Errie, unacomplished in the ancient Lirrian language, just watched as the same grin spread over Kirri.
Bomba chorreh indeed.
